The a-STEP Action meeting, held in Oslo, Norway, on 27-28 September 2023, brought together participants for a productive two-day hybrid event. This meeting was pivotal for advancing the objectives of the Action, providing an opportunity for Working Groups (WGs) to collaborate in person and online, discuss their progress, and plan their next steps.
The agenda focused on a blend of workshops, keynote presentations, and dedicated WG meetings, allowing participants to engage in in-depth discussions on their deliverables and explore interdisciplinary approaches. Keynote speakers shared valuable insights into current trends in autism research and accessible technology design, enriching the participants’ understanding and knowledge.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the inclusion of workshops aimed at co-producing research articles and leveraging innovative methods such as the Story Dialogue Method (SDM). These sessions provided hands-on experience for attendees and promoted collaborative writing. The joint WG meetings further enhanced cross-group interactions, fostering collaboration across different areas of the Action.
