Objective

The objectives of WG4 are to:

  • provide access to resources to enable users, caregivers and practitioners in making informed choices leading to appropriate uptake of AT;
  • provide an open space for communication and ideas exchange among the proposers/partners within the network and beyond to encourage transfer and exploitation of new insights;
  • promote a range of AT applications (including, but limited to, computer AT, virtual reality technologies, wearable technologies, artificial intelligence, robotics and apps) with a particular focus on users and those who interact with them (e.g., caregivers, service providers).

Tasks & Deliverables

  • Build an open-access resource platform which contains information on best and emerging practices in relation to AT applications in education and employment among the ASD and ID communities.

  • Create an online open space on the resource platform to allow knowledge and ideas exchange among stakeholders and empower users to provide feedback on the use of AT to enhance social inclusion.

  • Offer a mechanism to allow researchers to provide updates regarding best practices of AT as well as design and development of new AT products.
