Working Group 1 Deliverables
Establish the a-STEP network (users, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, industry) and setup
mentorship schemes for ECIs including ITCs. Plan on activities
Coordinate intersectoral and interdisciplinary cross-WG activities (two meetings per year) to
ensure knowledge exchange and stimulate inter-topic crosstalk. Plan and report on activities
Organize educational workshops, training schools focused on the enlargement of the Action and
involvement of ECIs, ITCs, etc. in close collaboration with WG5 (e.g., two STSMs per year for up

Working Group 2 Deliverables
Synthesize current knowledge on AT applications through comprehensive systematic reviews and
meta-analyses to evaluate the appropriateness, effectiveness, feasibility and sustainability of existing

Integrate a framework of best practices related to AT applications. Best practices report
Design and implement a Delphi study and focus groups with all stakeholders to understand a
range of perspectives and preferences in relation to AT within education and employment context. Summary report of Delphi Study
Establish priorities for future translational research via the identification and promotion of best

Working Group 3 Deliverables
Create a general framework of best practices in relation to inclusive design and participatory action
research to guide the design, development and deployment of AT and reduce potential AT

Provide a joint roadmap to outline the plan to reach short-term and long-term goals through the
use of AT solutions and provide key information to help organizations, industry and policymakers
make informed decisions around AT investments, including new technological discoveries and

Working Group 4 Deliverables
Build an open-access resource platform which contains information on best and emerging
practices in relation to AT applications in education and employment among the ASD and ID

Create an online open space on the resource platform to allow knowledge and ideas exchange
among stakeholders and empower users to provide feedback on the use of AT to enhance social

Offer a mechanism to allow researchers to provide updates regarding best practices of AT as well

Prepare dissemination plan and materials with special focus on health care representatives.

Disseminate scientific information via (open-access) publications, e.g. consensus documents from
WG2 and WG3, conference presentations, special issue of an international peer-reviewed journal,
