Participatory research design training school

The Participatory Research Design training school, held in Elbasan, Albania, on 3-4 July 2023, provided a valuable opportunity for Early Career Researchers (ECRs) to enhance their skills in inclusive research methodologies. This training was specifically designed to address the learning goals of ECRs, with a focus on developing expertise in participatory research practices.

Description:

The training school centered around the importance of involving people with disabilities in the research process, ensuring that research is inclusive and reflective of the needs and perspectives of all stakeholders. Through a combination of workshops, discussions, and hands-on activities, participants explored effective strategies for engaging with people with disabilities as active partners in the co-construction of research projects.

Outputs:

By the end of the training, participants had gained the knowledge and tools necessary to design and execute research projects in collaboration with people with disabilities, fostering more inclusive and impactful research outcomes.

This Summer School was a critical step in building the capacity of Early Career Researchers, empowering them to lead more participatory, inclusive research efforts moving forward.
